Back issue has come
to a point of readiness to return work. Yesterday was my day number 2.
I was informed
about a meeting among colleagues and staff.
Government has
granted a certain amount of money….
Money meant to
benefit the people diagnosed dementia – and as far as I understand different suggestions
has appeared ….but
And as far as I
understood majority has stopped into this:
At first I have to
explain something folks….
In this kind of
work all is very aware of the importance of the ability to maintain skills for
all people and of extreme importance for the elder
It is “easy” for us
as helper to neglect and oversee something that an elder can do him/herself –
it is like us taking over and doing instead – because of habit used to and it
is defiantly another speed if I do this instead of allowing the elder doing …..

The suggestion was more
awareness in maintaining the elders skills during every day…
My words: “AHA –
that is easy it is just a matter to hire an extra person in this way there
would be all the time that is needed for each resident”

matter of are we able to see another way of doing this or that.
The talk is a
therapist are to work here – and this is a person with “new eyes” and therefore
this is easier for this one to see each situation from another angel….
